Why Adopt?

There are many reasons to choose to adopt a homeless pet rather than purchasing a dog or cat from a pet shop or breeder.  The most convincing reason is perhaps the fact that between 3 and 4 million dogs and cats are euthanized in United States animal shelters each year - primarily because of lack of space.  By choosing to adopt from a shelter you are helping to save the lives of animals by easing the pressure of overpopulation.

Because we are a no-kill shelter - where animals are never euthanized for time or space - adopting from us will free up kennel space and resources that we can offer to another pet who may have been euthanized in another facility.

We have over 60 cats from siamese mixes, calico, tortoise, black, white, short hair, long hair ... You name it!!!

What does it cost to adopt from Town & Country Humane?

Our adoption fees are as follows:

           Dogs: $100
           Cats: $25
All animals available for adoption are up-to-date on their vaccinations and are either spayed or neutered.
